About Mulvane > Trees
The City of Mulvane takes great pride in the planting of trees throughout the city and parks.  
 
The Parks Department plants and cares for the trees on city property.  If you have concerns or would like information contact Kendra Walls, Superintendent of the Parks Department at 777-9533 or 371-1854.  
 
Prior to planting trees or digging please call Kansas One Call at 1-800-344-7233, 48 hours before digging.   The City of Mulvane contracts with Kansas One Call and will contact all utilities that have buried lines so they can mark them. This is a free service to the customer and helps keep underground lines from being damaged. 
 
 
Arbor Day Celebration
The Arbor Day Celebration is usually held around the last part of April at one of the parks in Mulvane.  Updated information on this event will be posted as soon as it becomes available.  Call Leanna Yohe for information 777-1298.

Tree Sale
The Mulvane Tree Board sponsers an annual tree sale every year.  This event has become very popular with Mulvane residents interested in purchasing trees for their homes.   Several varieties are sold paying particular attention to the various types of trees that thrive well in the Kansas climate. More details of this event when available. Contact Leanna Yohe for more information at 777-1298.
The Mulvane Tree Board
The Mulvane Tree Board is an active volunteer organization that is funded by the City of Mulvane's Beautification Program.  
 
The Mulvane Tree Board has dedicated volunteers who lend their time and expertise in the planting of trees and various other activities concerning the beautification of our city.  
 
The Mulvane Tree Board has received the Tree City USA and Growth Award for over 15 years of beautification and remains strong.  
 
The Mulvane Tree Board and the Mulvane Parks Department work closely together planting various trees in the City's parks and throughout the City's corridors.

A memorial and honorary tree planting program is available for those that are interested in purchasing a tree for a loved one or special person.  Donations of $125.00 to purchase a memorial / honorary tree with the party's choice of tree, location and for whom the tree is purchased.  A name plaque is placed by the tree with the name of the memorial / honoraree.  
 
The Mulvane Parks Department plants and maintains all trees donated and purchased by the Mulvane Tree Board.
