In the City of Mulvane any combustible or deflagrating composition, article or device suitable for the use of public for the purpose of producing a visable or audible effect any combustion, deflagration or by detonation and previously approved by Kansas Fire Marshall's office and by the Mulvane Director of Emergency Services.

Fireworks that are prohibited to be detonated in the City of Mulvane are fireworks that are not approved for sale in the State of Kansas. Fireworks that are acceptable by the Interstate Commerce Commission Class "C" by the State of Kansas Fire Marshall's office or the Mulvane Director of Emergency Services.

The Sports Complex is designated for shooting fireworks when 1 fire vehicle and 2 firefighters are available.  July 3rd and 4th are the dates fireworks may be detonated at the Sports Complex until Midnight.

Residents may shoot fireworks on their property beginning June 27th at 8:00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m. on weekdays.  On weekends, Friday and Saturday evenings fireworks may be shot off from 8:00 a.m. until Midnight.  When July 4th falls on a Sunday, fireworks may be shot off on July 5th from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.
