For Sedgwick County residents, Sedgwick County has recently printed an updated Recycling and Disposal Guide. The website is www.sedgwickcounty.org or call 316-660-7200 for questions.



Household Hazardous Waste Remote Collections

Not sure what to do with that left-over paint, antifreeze or old pharmaceuticals?  Don't just throw them away!  Bring them to one of the Sedgwick County Household Hazardous Waste collection sites near you.

Waste Connection offers recycling of the following items:

Corrugated cardboard
Chip board - cereal, pop, shoe, boxes etc.
Newspaper
Magazines
Junk mail
Phone books
Other light colored papers
Plastics #1 - #7
Steel cans
Aluminum cans
Clean Aluminum foil
Glass containers - clear, amber, green etc.

Waste Connections will accept single sorted recycling that will include glass containers.  No need to divide recycling materials into separate containers.  Recycle the following items into one container to make it easier for everyone.

The recycling bin is located at the southwest driveway at city hall, 211 N. Second

on top of the burning fire for your own and the City's safety.

Grass clippings or yard rakings are not allowed due to smoldering when the brush pit is burning as in the pictures provided.

Only tree limbs are allowed at the brush pit.
