The City of Mulvane to make available funds for alcohol and drug prevention programs.

 

The City of Mulvane has budgeted funds in 2017 to be used to fund alcohol and drug prevention programs for residents within the Mulvane School District and community through competitive grants.

 

Special Alcohol & Drug Funds shall be expended for the purchase, establishment, maintenance or expansion of services or programs whose principal purpose is alcoholism and drug abuse prevention and education, alcohol and drug detoxification, intervention in alcohol and drug abuse or treatment of persons who are alcoholics or drug abusers or are in danger of becoming alcoholics or drug abusers”.

 

Grant applications will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on January 10, 2017

 

Since 2013, the City has awarded over $150,000 in grants to fund alcohol and drug prevention programs in the community. The grants demonstrate the City of Mulvane’s continued commitment to preventing and treating alcohol and drug abuse in our community.
